Dangerous Ingredients In Skincare Products
If you are looking for any skincare product, you should be aware that there are actually potentially dangerous ingredients in skincare products in general. This being said, there are literally over 7000 ingredients used in skincare products in general, and over 1000 are known to have side effects and harmful problems associated with them. So why do manufacturers continue to use them? One reason: they are cheap.
For one thing, there’s propylene glycol. Propylene glycol is essentially speaking a small amount of antifreeze, not exactly appealing right. But yet, they continue to use it as a preservative. Likewise, mineral oils are well known, because they clog the pores and keep everything, including bacteria, in the skin and the pores.
Alpha hydroxy acid is likewise a big one. These are generally found in milk products, and most would not actually expect it. But they basically cause the skin’s cells to shed away and in the process cause sensitivity, they cause irritation, and they cause damage in general.
Likewise it might surprise you. But collagen and elastin are potentially dangerous to the skin. Yes, artificial collagen and elastin are actually too large to get through the layers of the skin. So they remain on the surface and end up clogging the pores, and if you are using many different wrinkle products, obviously you automatically have dangerous ingredients in skincare products.
So while it’s disappointing to know that your skincare products are not up to par and quite frankly they cause various other problems in general. So it’s far better to just use something that does not have these ingredients and has more advanced skincare ingredients such as peptides for example.
