MEDliten is a solution for a variety of unwanted skin discolorations ranging from freckles to scars. MEDliten is a skin lightening and brightening serum designed to address age spots and even dark underarm skin. For a complete one-step remedy, this serum is also safe for “intimate” areas.
Unlike hydroquinone-based remedies for depigmenting skin, MEDliten is sensitive without any risk. As a gel, this treatment can adhere to your skin to inhibit melanin (skin color) production. Can MEDliten give you a smooth and even skin tone?
MEDliten actually uses a derivative of hydroquinone called alpha arbutin. Alpha arbutin harnesses the power of hydroquinone to reduce pigmentation, but it is a safer substitute. Alpha arbutin prevents hyperpigmentation. According to a study in Japan by the Biochemical Research Laboratory alpha arbutin makes skin fair. The results of the study “indicated that alpha arbutin is an effective and safe ingredient for skin-lightening.”
For additional skin lightening power, MEDliten uses kojic acid. Kojic acid works by controlling the enzyme tyrosinase. Tyrosinase is responsible for stimulating melanin development, so inhibiting this enzyme with kojic acid moderates your skin color.
This serum also offers a way to keep your skin hydrated. MEDliten uses the moisturizer hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid binds moisture to the skin, keeping your skin hydrated longer by retaining water. Regular use of HA can temporarily improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Right off the bat we saw the benefits of MEDliten because it avoids using hydroquinone. We also like MEDliten because it can be used for a number of skin discolorations on a number of areas. This serum has the ability to reduce and eventually erase things like age spots. However, results usually take some time. Maximum effectiveness usually takes up to six weeks to see visible improvement. As an additional word of advice, using sunscreen alongside the serum helps.
