Gold has been highly valued for a long, long time, but not just in financial terms. It has been a topic of medical studies and skin care research going back hundreds of years. Even Cleopatra was said to have had gold facials. Gold has emerged as a popular part of many expensive spa treatments, but it’s not all just hype. Gold is one of the best antioxidants on the planet, so it was inevitable when it started showing up in various skin care formulas. Gold has the chemical properties to fight the skin cells at the surface and promote cell rejuvenation.
Generally, when it comes to skin care all I care about is that a product works, but in the case of gold you may have to be a little price conscious. Many people overprice in their minds anything that has the word gold in it. In the case of skin care items, such a minimal amount is needed to be effective that you shouldn’t expect pricing that is incredibly exorbitant, but certainly a little higher than average.
